“六合建筑工作室”现有教师及研究生近40人，其中教授1人、副教授4人、讲师7人，以及30余名硕士、博士研究生和博士后。工作室已经形成一支相对稳定的科研队伍，团队长期从事聚落变迁与长城堡寨聚落研究、生态建筑与人居环境研究以及设计形态理论研究。包括中国长城整体性研究、古代建筑与天文考古、明代海防研究，国外生态村与合作居住、都市农业与生产性城市、建筑领域低空信息采集研究、建筑拆解及建筑再利用研究、城市道路空间形态定量研究等研究方向。工作室先后培养博士研究生40余名，硕士研究生90余名。
工作室成员主持完成与在研的国家科技部科技支撑计划课题1项、国家社科重大项目子项目1项、国家“十五”科技攻关重大项目子项目1项、国家自然科学基金项目13项、教育部博士点基金项目4项、其他省部级科技项目6项。在学术期刊和重要会议发表学术论文200余篇。此外，自主研发了长城和建筑文化遗产低空信息技术，并获国家专利3项。
主要获奖情况：2013年7月“明长城防御体系与军事聚落基础性研究”获第13届天津市社会科学优秀成果（天津市人民政府）二等奖；2010年10月“牟氏庄园旅游区规划”获2010年全国人居经典建筑规划方案设计竞赛（中国建筑学会、环境保护部环境发展中心、中国建筑文化研究会）规划、环境双金奖；2009年12月“四川省阿坝州汶川县映秀镇鱼子溪村震后重建修建性详细规划及建筑设计”获全国优秀城乡规划设计奖灾后重建村镇规划（住建部）一等奖；2007年12月“小城镇绿色住宅产业技术研究与开发”获华夏建设科学技术奖（建设部）二等奖。
